Roles & Responsibilities
>> Role: To attend and participate in all activity and implementation of the Lean RCM™ Process as specified in the Lean RCM™ Award unit specifications.
Responsibilities: Upon enrollment of a candidate onto the Lean RCM™ Qualification process the candidate is responsible for the following;
- Attendance to all EMS Cognito Facilitated session and assessments.
- Ensuring all documentation as provided by EMS Cognito at induction has been read and understood.
- All learning difficulties and disabilities are communicated to an EMS Cognito consultant at the start of a training programme.
- Any candidate who participates in training provided by EMS Cognito is required to complete a
Candidate Feedback Form. For more details and how the information is used please see our Candidate Feedback Procedure.
>> Role: To facilitate and provide support in all activity and implementation of the Lean RCM™ Process as specified in the Lean RCM™ Award unit specifications.
Responsibilities: As part of the Lean RCM™ Qualification process the Assessor is responsible for the following;
- To facilitate all activity and learning outcomes in line with the Lean RCM™ unit specifications.
- To facilitate candidate induction at the start of the training process
- Ensure all documentation is disseminated to all candidates at induction to be read and understood.
- Accommodate all learning difficulties and disabilities in line with EMS Cognito policy.
- To issue relevant feedback forms to all candidates on completion of each stage of training. For more details on the process and how the information is used please see our Candidate Feedback Procedure.
>> Role: To sample and internally verify the validity and quality of all assessments from the Lean RCM™ Process.
Responsibilities: As part of the Lean RCM™ Qualification process the Internal Verifier is responsible for the following;
- All candidate assessments are appropriately conducted and that any possibility of malpractice is minimised
- To ensure all assessors apply the same standards of assessment uniformly and consistently across the Lean RCM™ process
- To ensure the validity of the internal assessment and the reliability of assessors’ judgements.

>> Role: To provide a management structure and quality assurance systems to support the delivery, assessment and internal verification of the Lean RCM™ qualification.
Responsibilities: As part of the Lean RCM™ Qualification process the Approved Centre is responsible for the following;
- Operating an effective and documented internal quality assurance system for the following certificates; Lean RCM™ Theory, Lean RCM™ Practitioner and Lean RCM™ Facilitator.
- To comply with legal requirements and maintain the confidence of those individuals who trust EMS
Cognito with their personal information - To comply with requirements for accurate and safe retention of candidate evidence, assessment and internal verification records.
